Our Story
I have always been a crafter. Some of my fondest memories of my childhood are of my mom and I crafting. Making holiday decorations for the PTA craft bazaar (hey it was the 70's!). Rainy days spent drawing. Learning crochet from my mom and grandma. Sewing. Baking. The list goes on.
Now I have my own kids and I wanted to make sure they had that gift of creativity. I think they could wield a pair of scissors before they could say scissors! I used to ask them "What does creative you look like today?" Some days it was painting, others baking, drawing, clay, or crochet (you get the idea). And we began to refer to it as Painting me, Baking me, Glitter me (oh my!).
So it became my dream to open a workshop where kids (and adults) could come and explore all those wonderful mediums and find their "Creative Me". I'm so happy that after a two year covid delay, Creative Me Workshop can open!
I am thrilled to have my niece, Lauren, join me on this great adventure. She has lots of energy and creativity, not to mention lots of experience with preschoolers as a prior preschool/Kindergarten teacher. You guys are gonna love her!
In addition to workshop events, toddler time classes, parties and camps, Creative Me Workshop offers DIY craft kits to take home, handcrafted items made by us, and customized gift boxes for sale.
